Community Guidelines
Nkwanzi is built around the sharing of knowledge, ideas, research, and creative work. Our community brings together writers, researchers, creators, and readers from different backgrounds and areas of expertise. These Community Guidelines exist to help maintain a platform where people can share valuable information in a respectful, responsible, and trustworthy environment.
Every member of the Nkwanzi community plays a role in maintaining the quality and safety of the platform. Creators are responsible for publishing content that is accurate, original, and appropriate for the audience they serve. Readers are expected to engage respectfully and use platform features, including reporting tools, responsibly.
Respectful Behaviour
Users must treat other members of the community with respect. Nkwanzi does not allow harassment, threats, intimidation, personal attacks, hateful content, targeted abuse, or any behaviour intended to harm or silence another person. Differences in opinions, ideas, and perspectives are expected, but discussions should remain constructive and respectful.
Original and Responsible Content
Creators publishing on Nkwanzi must ensure that they have the necessary rights to share their work. Content that is copied from other sources without permission, misrepresents another person's work, or violates intellectual property rights is not permitted. Creators should provide accurate information and avoid deliberately publishing misleading, false, or deceptive material.
Prohibited Content
Content that violates applicable laws of the Republic of Uganda or creates harm to other users may be removed from Nkwanzi. This includes content involving fraud, illegal activities, threats, incitement of violence, unlawful discrimination, malicious misinformation, impersonation, scams, or material that compromises the security and integrity of the platform.
Creator Responsibilities
Creators are responsible for the content they publish, including articles, research materials, educational resources, and any other work uploaded to the platform. Creators should ensure their work is truthful, properly represented, and does not infringe the rights of others. Publishing on Nkwanzi does not remove a creator's responsibility for their own content.
Reader Responsibilities
Readers are encouraged to engage with content thoughtfully and responsibly. Readers should not misuse platform features, attempt to disrupt services, abuse creators, or submit false reports intended to harm another user.
Reporting Violations
Nkwanzi provides reporting tools that allow users to notify us about content or behaviour that may violate these guidelines. Reports should be submitted honestly and with sufficient information to allow proper review. Abuse of the reporting system, including knowingly submitting false or malicious reports, may result in action being taken against the reporting account.
Enforcement
Nkwanzi may review reported content and take appropriate action where violations are identified. Actions may include requesting changes, restricting access, removing content, limiting platform features, suspending accounts, or permanently terminating accounts involved in serious or repeated violations.
These guidelines are intended to support a trusted knowledge marketplace where creators can share their work and readers can discover valuable information. Nkwanzi may update these guidelines as the platform develops and as necessary to maintain a safe and responsible community.
